Covers War Wednesday

Have you ever wish that the beautiful UK cover would sell here, or you wish you are a fluently Italian speaker so you can take the exotic looking Italian book/cover home? Or have you ever thank God for your own pretty cover while others have covers that you have to sigh in sympathy for them? Well, at least I have.

So, you could say this is just a small weekly meme where I held “competitions” between covers. Usually between different publishers, editions, or countries. Let the war begin!

  1. Hi!

I LOVE this idea! It’s always fun to see all the different covers and styles that books have in different countries.

And besides, I surely judge a book by it’s cover, I know I shouldn’t but… If a book has a cover that I don’t like or that bores me I will probably not even read the summary, unless a lot of people says it’s good. So this is perfect for me.

I’ve written my own version on my blog. Check it out if you want! 🙂

    1. Hi Sandra!
Awww! I’m so glad you like this. The nice words mean a lot. ❤️
I can totally get your thoughts (that’s why there is this meme lol). There is surely a reason for judging a book by its cover. I mean, the bigger publishers will have bigger budget for the cover, therefore the cover will look better, and the book must be good to get accepted for pub like that…. So on and so forth haha 😀 I’m glad you like this. Also, just for the sake of glorious cover haha…
Again, thank you so much for taking an interest in this. I’m eager to hop to your blog to see your CWW! 😉

  2. Hi!
So I’m participating again, and I guess I will do it pretty much every week, because as I said, I thinks it’s a really cool idea 🙂
Do you mind if I link them here? Or what should I do? I mean, I don’t want to fill your comments section with my links and my stuff.
Anyway, here’s my link for this week:

    1. Aww! That’s too nice of you. ❤️ I’m so glad you find this meme fun to do. About the link, you can just link it straight to my blog (bookisglee.wordpress.com) from your post instead of this page. The ping backs won’t show up that way. Of course, I definitely don’t mind if you want to link to this page so I can check out your posts. And it’s totally fine if you don’t want to leave comments for every post too. 🙂 The pingbacks would totally help (I think?) 😬
Again, I’m so so sooo happy you like this meme. I hope you continue enjoying it. I can’t wait to see what you are choosing for this round of CWW! ❤️😄
      Happy blogging!

      1. The US one is just so close to how I picture America looking and I feel the dress is what her maids would have her wear whereas the other cover even though it’s due catching gives off a much older feel to the ya novel
