The Emoji Book Tag

Once upon a time, I was tagged by the one and awesome Parneet @ The Enchanted Book. Thank you so much! ❤ And if you don’t know her, leave her a visit and I promise, you won’t regret it.

The E

I personally love emoji. It makes everything less serious when you can’t really see the other person face while texting. So let’s not wait and dive in!

Oops, I forgot to mention, the aim of this tag is super duper simple. Use some of the emojis that you love or use the most and find a book to match it up. And remember, don’t forget to have fun!

1. The “Laughing Crying” Emoji – Clockwork Princess

(official name: Tears of Joy. But hey, it’s not as funny saying that, right?)

Can I have a minute to feel the awe that radiates from this book? And remember how it make me cry my soul out? Yeah, I’m ready. There are definitely light-hearted, toe-curling scenes in Clockwork Princess that make you want to cuddle the book and smile like a puppy. But those tears that this book brought me (or any readers, I bet) aren’t fake either. Now excuse me, I need to go to my Corner Of Feels for a bit.

The illustration from the amazing Cassandra Jean. Just wanna add some spices to the feels, you know. (Why am I crying?!)

2. The “Can’t Help Falling In Love” Emoji – Ruby Red

3

I love love love this book. The cover is awesome, the plot is awesome, the characters are awesome… This book is just pure perfection. If I have any complain about this book, only because it’s a trilogy and I’m desperately need much, much more even if it’s been a year or two since I last read it. ❤

3. The “I Think I Sleep Through It” Emoji – Providence

4

Jamie Mcguire’s Beautiful series is wonderful. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same to Province. It was a wax figure of Twilight. From the infamous “supernatural triangle love”, to the I-can’t-live-without-my-boyfriend heroine. It’s not that I have a problem with Twilight, but I just can’t really get along with repetitive plotline. This book bored me stiff.

4. The Cool Boss Emoji – Confessions of a Queen B*

2

*slam the keyboard* Yes, I’m feeling like a boss now…

The Queen B* series is absolutely amazing. If any book is capable to make people (and itself) look and feel cool, this book/series is the one you are looking for. The sassy, witty personality of the heroine never fail to make me laugh my stomach off. And ha! Everyone loves high school drama.

5. The “I’m Just Cutting Onions” Emoji – Forbidden

Hear it? It’s the re-breaking sound of my heart. I remember crying my eyes out after finishing this book, and finally realized the fact that words can hurt. This book is hauntingly beautifulHow can something so beautiful hurts so bad?

And the Nominees are…

Let’s chat: What is your favorite emoji?

  1. Forbidden is one I really want to read someday for the intriguing premise. Have you read Flowers in the Attic? It reads very similarly to Forbidden in regards to the subject matter I’ve heard. And yes! The Clockwork Princess gave us all a rollercoaster of emotions. The feels! ❤
