Sunday Book Recommendations #13 [May 8, 2016]

Hello guys! And welcome back to another SUNDAY BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS!!

Sunday Book Recommendations

Sunday Book Recommendations is the weekly meme hosted by Raven @ Dreamy Addictions. This meme focus on recommending you guys some interesting books in which I think are wonderful. It includes recommending a book from three different genres.

Arrow2 - CopyNumbers (2)-New Adults-
Wrong by Jana Aston

26224667 Synopsis: I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.

Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor. Shoot. Me.

But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?

  • Hilarious, swoony, and steamy hot are the words you would choose for this book. Like, good quality pancake with a ‘hilarious’ cherry top and a huge spoon of ‘hotness’ cream. I love love LOVE it! ❤

Arrow2 - CopyNumbers (3)-Urban Fantasy-
Unchained by J. Lynn

12081652Synopsis: Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just…wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.

The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can’t shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.

Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.

Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything–and she’ll need Julian’s help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her…and not destroy her.

Yeah, being a Nephilim isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be.

  • First, this book was written by J. Lynn, who is a.k.a. Jennifer L. Armentrout, who I’m pretty sure you’ve heard plenty about.  This book is basically kickass heroin + *halp* swoony angel + omg action scenes. My math is not the best, but I’m pretty sure that equals ‘awesomeness’. 😉

Arrow2 - CopyNumbers (4)-Death (capital D)-
Existence by Abbi Glines

14592730Synopsis: What happens when you’re stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn’t cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn’t let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he’s dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn’t realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he’s about to break all the rule

  • Sooooo… It’s Death. Capital ‘D’ Death. And he’s hawt peeps. The characters in general are definitely lovable, and the writing is the usual Abbi-Glines-awesomeness as always. I really enjoyed this book. ❤

Arrow2 - Copy

I feel like I’m going on on full-mode for romance this Recommendations. Promise for thriller & fantasy next week haha…

Anyhow, hope you like this Sunday Book Recommendations! As usual, comment down below what genre you would like me to recommend next week, and also share your recommendations too. 😀

  1. Great recommendations! Unchained and Existence are great books and I enjoyed reading them. I haven’t read Wrong by Jana Anston but it sounds like something I will definitely enjoy. 😀
