March Unofficial Book Haul & My (terrible) Attempt At Photography

Hey y’all! It’s Mariana. And welcome to my first EVER Book Haul!

From the title, you might wondering “Hmm, what did Mariana up to now with that ‘Unofficial’ word?”

I’m up to no good Well, you see, I didn’t technically “haul” any of these book below that I’m going to show you shortly. I actually got them all for free. 😛 A high school near my house had this Old Library Books Giveaway a few days ago, and the objective of this event is super easy:

  1. Get in
  2. Pick out as many books as you want ❤
  3. Bring them home
  4. Enjoy

Seriously! I just went in and came out with a bunch (actually just 5) of books, and they don’t even have a limit of what you can take. Isn’t that crazy?!

Here are some of the books I’ve acquired…

  1. East by Edith Pattou
  2. How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller
  3. Enthralled by Various Authors
  4. We Hear the Dead by Dianne K. Salerni
  5. Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley-Cartwright

You can see they were library books, since there are still tags on the spines. Though the conditions of all the books are amazing, and most of them are hardcovers. Isn’t that amazing?

Book Haul

I received a few books from the publishers this month, which is absolutely awesome. Crown Publishing sent me a copy of The Library at Mount Char through their program Blogging For Books, which I immensely love. I just reviewed it, so you can check it out here.

Thomas Nelson provided me The War for the Waking World, which is the #3 book of the Dreamtreaders series, and since I really enjoy the first 2 books, I just can’t wait to get to it!

I won 2 giveaways, one from Goodreads—Scouting for the Reaper— which I’ve finished last week (review to come), and St. Martin—Sanctuary Bay—which was hosted @ Summer’s blog (hug ❤ ). I can’t wait to get to all of them!

So, final conclusion….

I cannot take pictures.

But it’s okay. I can always practice and improve. But it needs to start from me getting a real device that can actually take decent pictures, and I highly doubt my years old Iphone 4 (yes, it’s an Iphone 4) can be included in that category. XD

Let’s chat: Have you read any of the books above? And…some tips on pictures, pretty please?

- love xxoo,
