Sunday Book Recommendations #7

Welcome back to another SUNDAY BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS!!

Sunday Book Recommendations

Sunday Book Recommendations is the weekly meme hosted by Raven @ Dreamy Addictions. This meme focus on recommending you guys some interesting books in which I think are wonderful. It includes recommending a book from three different genres.

{CONTEMPORARY} Confession of a Queen B* by Crista McHugh

Alexis Wyndham is the other type of Queen B—the Queen Bitch.

After years of being the subject of ridicule, she revels in her ability to make the in-crowd cower via the exposés on her blog, The Eastline Spy. Now that she’s carved out her place in the high school hierarchy, she uses her position to help the unpopular kids walking the hallways.

Saving a freshman from bullies? Check.
Swapping insults with the head cheerleader? Check.
Falling for the star quarterback? So not a part of her plan.

But when Brett offers to help her solve the mystery of who’s posting X-rated videos from the girls’ locker room, she’ll have to swallow her pride and learn to see past the high school stereotypes she’s never questioned—until now.

This book is straight out HILARIOUS! XD If you love badass protagonist with a mouth, along with sarcastic remarks and fall-off-the-chair-laughing kind of situations, this book is 100% for you.

{NOVELLA} Assassin Study by Maria V. Snyder

Yelena, the heroine of Maria V. Snyder’s stunning debut novelPoison Study, is on her way to her ancestral homeland of Sitia to be reunited with her family and to learn more about her magical powers. An order of execution hangs over her head should she ever return to Ixia. But her true love, Valek, quickly learns that an assassin has taken it upon himself to make sure Yelena doesn’t reach her destination.

As Ixia’s chief of security, and a highly skilled assassin himself, can Valek track down the killer in time to save Yelena’s life?

Talking about novellas, Assassin Study is a must read.

Well, maybe it’s kinda biased, since I love the whole series to death. But I can guarantee, this is also amazing too! And hey, that is one amazing (smoking *swoon*) cover, right? Also, you can access it for free on the author’s website here.

{RETELLING} Enchanted by Alethea Kontis

It isn’t easy being the rather overlooked and unhappy youngest sibling to sisters named for the other six days of the week. Sunday’s only comfort is writing stories, although what she writes has a terrible tendency to come true.

When Sunday meets an enchanted frog who asks about her stories, the two become friends. Soon that friendship deepens into something magical. One night Sunday kisses her frog goodbye and leaves, not realizing that her love has transformed him back into Rumbold, the crown prince of Arilland—and a man Sunday’s family despises.

The prince returns to his castle, intent on making Sunday fall in love with him as the man he is, not the frog he was. But Sunday is not so easy to woo. How can she feel such a strange, strong attraction for this prince she barely knows? And what twisted secrets lie hidden in his past—and hers?

If I must describe Enchanted in 1 word, it would be sweet.

Yes, Enchanted is a super warm-hearted, alluring fairy tales retelling. If you ever get tired of “modernize” or “dark” retelling, and want to experience all the loving, kiddy fairy tales again, but still want the book to be twisted and turned and intriguing, then pick up Enchanted now! 😀

Hope you like this Sunday Book Recommendations! As usual, comment down below what genre you would like me to recommend next week, and also share your recommendations too.

Have an amazing new week tomorrow! ❤
