Top 5 Favorite Books Quotes of All the Time

Hi guys! It’s Friday, and the weekend is coming up. Greatest news I’ve heard this whole entire week, and of course The Top 5 Friday too. ❤

Quote is one of many awesome things we get from books. So why wait and let's dive in into the world of words (and possibly feels).

No. 1 – The Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter is hand downs the best series with many awesome and meaningful quotes for me. Well, since Sirius Black is my favorite character in the series (just remembered how awful I felt when he… You guys know what I’m trying to say), so it’s quite easy to understand how this is my top all time favorite quote.

I love how the quote itself admits that there is a dark part in every one of us true nature. The important thing is how to act and don’t let that dark side overcome you. But well, aren’t we all have solemnly swear that we are up to no good? 😉

No. 2 – A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

“A dream, all a dream, that ends in nothing, and leaves the sleeper where he lay down, but I wish you to know that you inspired it.”

I’ve been fascinating with dreams for, I guess my whole life (proof of how much I love to sleep). Dream has always had two meanings for me, when you sleep and when you want something, and when I was old enough, I realized that the two meanings actually intertwine with each other. This probably explains why I heart this quote so much. ❤

No. 3 – Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

My Top 1 Favorite Classic Romance. To be honest, the part that hit me hardest in the feels is the first verse, “He’s more myself than I am.” Being able to find yourself in the one you love is such a beautiful thing. For me, this applies to my family for now… 🙂

No. 4 – The Bible (Genesis 1:3)

“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

Come on, everyone has their favorite Bible’s verse. I’m just one of those person who love Genesis and the world’s Creation to death.

No. 5 – The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

Everyone: We expect something sassy and fun after all of the feels you gave us up there. It’s Percy Jackson after all.
Me: Of course, of course. And behold….

Haha… Sorry guys! 😀 Even though it is Percy Jackson, and the funny quotes are like stars in the sky for that series, I feel like I still need to put this in my Top 5. After all, it was the part where Percy was acknowledged as “risen above every hero”. Good time after all the pain they’ve been through…. (after all this time, still too soon 😥 )

What is your literature quote?
A quote that you were deeply inspired?
Let me know so I can add more of them to my Book Quotes List. 😉

  1. These are some beautiful quotes! Wonderful choices 🙂

My all-time favorite quote is from To Kill a Mockingbird: “I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.”

    Great post!

    1. Thank you so much! 😍
Aww… That’s a really great quote! I remembered reading TKAM a few years ago, and it was an awesome read! And then I got a chance to read it again for class. Got to interpret it at a whole different level.
      Love it! ❤️
